Mentoring

Poetry can be a lonely task, and most poets, regardless of experience, suddenly find themselves in need of a mentor.

Perhaps your poems feel unfinished or stuck, the emotion isn’t translating itself to the reader, your confidence has dipped, or you simply need a fresh set of eyes.

Mentoring is distinct from tutoring insofar that it’s porous relationship, tailored to the mentee’s style, intent and imagination.

The aim is to help the poems (and poet) become fully themselves. Caroline can only take on so many mentees a year, and it’s a committed, thorough process – hard but rewarding. If you’d like to work with her, please get in touch for further details.
